How BRYTESIGHT Delivered Precise Technology Design for a National Client’s New Headquarters

Background:

A nationally known client in Atlanta had a new headquarters project and had never used a technology consultant like BRYTESIGHT before. They had always had their internal IT team describe to technology installers what they wanted and had them build it. This did not provide the successful results they expected.


Strategy:

We at BRYTESIGHT did a complete visioning session and documented a technology program to optimally meet their business needs. By developing detailed technology fully integrated with the architect's CD set, we presented our final BryteGuide for the client to sign off on and approve.


The budget for the AV scope in that approved BryteGuide was $574,000 for the design options they had selected.


The RFP went out to two bidders and after leveling the responses, the delta between the two bidders was only $1,800 AND came in a bit below our original budget at $574,0000.


We love when the results speak for themselves, and that our design drawings and our custom RFPs that we do for each project, were so precise that there was only a .00333% difference! It is customary for us to routinely get 1-5% spreads from our detailed design drawings and customized RFPs, and sometimes, as in this case, even better.


Out of the three scopes (AV, Security, and Cabling) AV is by far the most expensive and the most complicated. I am sure you have seen many AV bids come back with wide margins (up to 200% sometimes) and wonder how you are going to protect your client and deliver the right technology scope at the optimal cost?
